Managing director. Elected Executive Council, the Managing director of the IMF heads Executive Council and is the head of the personnel of the organization. Under control of Executive Council the Managing director is responsible for daily activity of the IMF. The managing director is appointed to five years and can be re-elected for the subsequent term.
